- 2 1/2 lb Ground beef Lean browned -and rinsed of excess fat
- 5 large Tomatoes chopped
- 1 large White onion chopped fine
- 1/2 cup Finely chopped celery
- 10 Cloves of garlic chopped -fine
- 1 1/2 lb Mushrooms sliced thin
- 4 cup Water
- 1 Can 4 oz of tomato paste
- 2 tsp Marjoram
- 2 tsp Thyme
- 2 tsp Sage bruised
- 1 tsp Rosemary
- 3 tsp Oregano
- 3 Tbsp Salt
- 3 Tbsp Pepper
- 1/2 cup Green bell pepper chopped
- 1/2 cup Red bell pepper chopped

Brown and drain the hamburger. If it has too much fat rinse it in a colander under hot water. Place in Crockpot along with the water, tomatoes, seasonings, and tomato paste. Bring to a boil about 1 hour, add the rest of the ingredients and cover. Let cook for 8 to 10 hours on low. My Crock has two positions high or low. Taste after 4 hours to check for seasonings add if necessary.
