Gurkhas Vegetable and Dal Masala

Makes approximately 1 lb

  1. 4 oz Dried Chillies
  2. 2 oz Coriander Seeds
  3. 11/2 oz Cumin Seed
  4. 1 oz Turmeric
  5. 1 oz Ginger
  6. 4 cloves Garlic
  7. 4 oz Onions

Remove seeds from chillies, soak the chillies, coriander seed and cumin seed in hot water for 5 minutes. Drain, then grind each separately. Peel the garlic and Ginger and grind together. Peel the onion and grind to a paste. Collect all the ingredients together in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
