Old Fashioned Beef Stew

  1. 5 pound boneless chuck roast cut into bite-size pieces
  2. 5 pounds potatoes diced
  3. 1 pound carrots diced
  4. 2 pounds yellow onions diced
  5. salt, pepper, garlic to taste
  6. celery seed optional
  7. Oil for browning
  8. Flour to coat meat

Season meat. Coat with flour. Brown in oil. Place meat and vegetables in large pot. Cover with water and cook until meat is tender. dibm
