Pineapple Upside Down Cake
- box of butter or pineapple cake mix (prepared as directed on package)
- 10 slices of pineapple
- substitue the juice for liquid required in the cake mix
- small jar cherries
- box of brown sugar-I use the light
- butter for pan
Prepare mix as directed on package. Preheat oven as directed on package. I use a large cast iron skillet. Coat bottom and sides with soft butter Cover bottom with brown sugar-I use a lot of butter and sugar Place pineapple rings over sugar Place cherries in rings and between rings-you can also place pecan halves with rings Pour cake mix over Bake until knife stuck in center comes out clean and top is brown about 40 min. Let cool 5 min Turn onto cake dish
