Shoney's Strawberry Pie

  1. 1 cup granulated sugar
  2. 1 cup water
  3. 2 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  4. 1 large box strawberry gelatin
  5. 1 quart strawberries
  6. 1 baked pie shell
  7. Whipped topping

Combine sugar, water and cornstarch in saucepan. Cook until thick. Cool for 8 minutes. Add gelatin. Stir well. Pour over strawberries. Pour into baked pie shell, and place in refrigerator to chill. Serve with whipped topping.
