Tomato Basil Soup With Cheese Tort

  1. 1 tsp olive oil
  2. 1 garlic clove / pressed
  3. 1 can crushed tomatoes, undrained ( 15 oz)
  4. 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  5. 1/4 cup snipped fresh basil
  6. 1 bag of cheese tort

Combine oil and garlic in 3 qt saucepan, cook and stir over med heat until garlic is golden brown. Immediately add tomatoes, chicken broth and basil. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 to 7 minutes stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, cook tort according to directions. Drain, and add to tomato basil soup. Salt and pepper to taste. makes 2 servings
