Meatless Taco Dip

  1. 16 oz. sour cream *
  2. 8 oz. cream cheese *
  3. 2 cups shredded monterey jack cheese *
  4. 1 1/2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  5. 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  6. 1/2 cup and 3 Tbsp taco sauce separated
  7. jalapeno pepper slices (optional)

Blend sour cream and cream cheese in blender or food processor until smooth but not runny. Pour into 8" x 8" pan. Drizzle 1/2 cup of taco sauce over the cream cheese. Layer with lettuce, tomatoes and then cheese. Drizzle reamining 3 Tbsp of sauce over cheese. Garnish with jalapeno pepper slices if desired. Refrigerate until served. Serve with tortilla chips.
