McDonald's Sweet and Sour Sauce
- 1/4 cup peach preserves
- 1/4 cup apricot preserves
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 1/2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Puree all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Bring mixture to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Pour into a sealable container, cover, and keep refrigerated. Yield: 7/8 cup
