Dottie's Peanut Butter Fudge

  1. 1 cup sugar
  2. 1 cup brown sugar
  3. 1/4 tsp salt
  4. 1/2 cup milk
  5. 1 cup mini marshmallows
  6. 1 1/2 cup peanut butter
  7. 1 tsp vanilla

In a saucepan, combine sugars, salt, and milk. Cook to 230 degrees F (use a candy thermometer). Remove from heat immediately and quickly add marshmallows, peanut butter & vanilla. Beat with a wooden spoon several minutes until thick and creamy and gloss disappears or it begins to thicken as you stir. Spread in a buttered 8-inch square pan. Cut into squares. Makes approx 48 pieces. This fudge sets almost immediately, so there is no waiting time for cutting/eating.
